Ingredients (Makes 6-8 Naan)

2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

2 tbsp yogurt

3-4 tbsp milk (adjust as needed)

2 tbsp oil or melted butter

3-4 tbsp melted butter for brushing

Instruction

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Add yogurt and oil. Mix gently.

Slowly add milk and knead into a soft, smooth dough.

Cover and let it rest for 1-2 hours

Divide dough into 6-8 balls.

Roll each ball into an oval or tear-drop shape about ¼ inch thick.

Heat a tawa or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

Place the rolled naan on the hot tawa till bubbles form (1-2 minutes).
