Having XML sitemaps allows search engines to crawl and index a website , and allowing all search engine resues to be notified of the site map by inserting it into the robots.txt file.Sitemaps is useful for SEO and it increases the ranking of a website in search engine results, thus boosting the efforts.

What is Sitemaps?

A sitemap is defined as a simple guide that holds information along with other details on web pages that are available on a website. Search engines will do their job in crawling a sitemap to find XML sitemaps and identify all information that is applicable to a specific search query that has been performed.

There are two types of sitemaps, XML and HTML.

How to create Sitemap. XML

• Go to the Google, type Sitemap generator.
• Click on the www,xmlfiles.xml
• Paste the URL
• Click on the start button
• Download Sitemap
• Upload the file on web posting.
